Methodology

Decision order

FellowGrid first asks whether a category is needed, then evaluates eligible products. The intended pipeline is: category need → verified constraints → fit scoring → ranking → switching burden → action.

Possible actions

Results may use KEEP, SWITCH, SWITCH CANDIDATE, ADD, CANCEL CANDIDATE, or NOT YET. NOT YET exists to avoid recommending a subscription simply because a category has products to compare.

FellowScore

FellowScore is a situation-specific fit score, not a universal product rating. It uses the user's stated needs, budget, technical comfort, growth priorities and product characteristics. Hard constraints can remove a product before scoring.

Freshness

Official vendor sources are monitored for changes. A detected change is queued for review rather than silently overwriting purchase-critical recommendation data. Some sources require manual re-verification when automated access is unavailable.

Limits

Prices, promotions, regional availability and product limits can change. Unknown or region-dependent values should not be guessed. Verify the vendor's current terms before purchase.
